Going Out
Monday - Thursday
During the week, your time outside of school should be spent on:
- Homework
- Co-curricular activities
- School events
- Spending time with your Homestay family
On School nights, your focus should be on your schoolwork. You are not allowed to go out to places like Brisbane City, Sunnybank or shopping malls during weekdays.
If you are over 18, you can negotiate arrangements with your homestay.
Weekends
During the weekend, you can meeting up with friends outside of school. You should discuss your plans with your homestay.
- Where you are going
- How you can be contacted
- How you are getting there
- What time you are leaving and when you will be back
- Who you are going with
- What you are doing
- If you are running late, show courtesy and let homestay know
Latest times you should be home on Friday and Saturday evening
How old are you?
You should not go out alone without an adult.
You should be home by 8pm
You should be home by 9pm
You should be home by 11pm or at a time agreed with your homestay
Staying overnight with a friend or relative
If you wish to stay overnight at a friend’s or family member’s house, permission from the College is required. Please email the Homestay office (homestay@jpc.qld.edu.au) with at least 3 days’ notice. The College will contact your parents and Homestay family for consent. Â
When staying with a friend or relative overnight, a Nominated Person Form will be sent to your parents to complete.Â
